About the project

We are a group of people who believe that everyone has the right of Equal access to music, the arts and life.
The Turning Tides Project believes that everyone has the right to equal access to music, the arts and life.

We intend to make this right a reality for people
with 'learning disability' or 'autism' labels in Devon. The Turning Tides Project is a Community Interest Company; a non-profit organisation. Our focus is on the work that we do and the difference that we make.

The Turning Tides Project takes a Social Model approach.

The Social Model
The Social Model of Disability says to stop looking at the individual that is ‘different’, instead look at the barriers and problems that surround them. Fix the world to make it more accessible, and tackle discrimination.

As an Organisation, we aim to demonstrate a Social Model approach in everything we do.

Code of Conduct/Core Values
The Turning Tides Project has a distinct culture and qualitative ethos to its work. We believe that everyone involved with The TTP align their own beliefs, working practice, attitudes, motivation and creativity to the values of the project. This ensures that the values are truly delivered in everything we do and say. By setting this participative environment we will all thrive, improve and enjoy our many and varied experiences

TTTP Charging Policy
As a Community Interest Company The Turning Tides Project use their profits and assets for the public good and aim only to charge in order to cover costs, any surplus is reinvested to sustain the organisation and our work in the community.

Our charges will always be transparent and will reflect people's needs depending on the situation.
