I enjoyed having a talk at the Town Council with Jane and Dominic. I was really nervous but Jane spoke first about what Turning Tides is about, afterwards Dominic spoke about what we do in Crediton.
Jane helped me say to say what I like to do with Turning Tides and meeting new people in Okehampton: On Tuesday night we go to Crediton Pub Jam at Cider Works and the top hill turn right straight down to the entrance. So we went to the Fab Lab in Exeter to cut butterflies and draw butterflies on laptops there, I enjoyed it. We had a trip up to Bristol to do Taiko Drumming, and I liked playing the big drum. On Fridays I go to the music session at one thirty having been at Refurnish with Dominic I have monthly Cajon lessons with Matt. I do enjoyed doing the Radio Vibe stuff with Jake on Thursdays, I've done a song on it called Raining In My Heart. I learned to use a special camera to take photos and make films on a bank holiday Friday. I have my own profile on the website with a picture of me playing the Cello. Going out in the evenings is my favourite, we go out to the Waie Inn to play skittles and have dinner out with friends. In the future I'd really like to take my boyfriend out for a dinner date. We are in the Crediton Courier on this Friday, look out for a photo of me! Written and Published by Rebecca Nicholls As many of you are aware, MoorFM.co.uk is our hub for airing our Radio Vibe Podcast, they were kind enough to teach our team how to create a show, and then allowed us a slot to air it!
Recently, MoorFM had an electrical fault which meant that they couldn’t air any shows. This has now developed into them having to stop airing anything for the foreseeable future as they cannot afford to repair the fault, and that includes our show. We have asked if there is anything we can do to help, perhaps some fundraising to help with repairing the station, but until then there will be no more MoorFM. Our show will still go on! The Podcast will continue to be uploaded in the evening of the first Wednesday of the month but will be exclusive to our Soundcloud page and the website. These changes mean we will be able to bring out longer, more developed Podcasts that will include our own news and weather people. We will also be introducing our own soap show soon! You can still request songs to be featured on the Podcast, simply visit the Radio Vibe page and fill out the form. Thanks from all of us!
