The sun's been shining and we've been super busy since our performance and launch on the 7th ... The Turning Tides Project reminds me of a swan swimming across a lake ,at the moment - feet paddling like crazy under the water and gentle progress being made above :0) .
The first taster days and ongoing sessions in Okehampton and Crediton are booked and ready to go: take a look at the events page, get in touch to reserve places and do tell your friends about them too. We're finalising arrangements to speak and perform at two national conferences, to start exploring a new performance in an exciting local venue and to start a set of weekly dance sessions... All the details will appear on the events page as soon as they're confirmed - so keep in touch. The other big job is to fund-raise, so that everything we start just keeps going - we'd love to hear your ideas. . Watch out for articles in the Crediton and Okehampton newspapers in the next week or two, too. We've currently got a few spare tickets for our Gig Buddies launch on 19th July, 2.30pm at The Northcott Theatre. We will be seeing 'The Day We played Brazil' and having tea and cake afterwards: we're covering the costs of tickets and cake - so come and join us; if you would like tickets get in touch! By Jane Williams The Turning Tides performance on 7th June at the University of Exeter was awesome, amazing and fantastic. If you were not there, then where were you? Not anywhere remotely as good. We had a blast, all the hard work everyone put in really paid off, it was brilliant. For me the Music was the best bit, Neil Young and Frank Zappa, you would have been impressed! By Rachel Purtell |
