![]() Free money! Sounds too good to be true doesn't it... Seemingly not. I know parting with your hard earned cash is not always the easiest thing to do especially when you already have so many responsibilities and outgoings but what if you could donate whilst doing just your day to day shopping? Have you heard of Easy Fundraising? No, me neither not until just the other day. Turns out that Easy Fundraising is a website that (kind of) directs you to the website that you want. All you need to do is go to easyfundraising.org.uk to begin with and then select where you need to go - Tesco food shop? Suits from John Lewis? Lego from ToyrsRus? Each time you do this and purchase something from the required site then The Turning Tides Project gets a small contribution at no additional expense to you! I understand that it is only a small donation but if everyone were to use this then eventually a difference will be made and we can keep making music and art accessible to the masses! One of the issues with this little scheme is remembering to actually use it before you buy something - but they seem to have that covered too. You can download a toolbar to use in your browser if you like or just set Easy Fundrasing as your Homepage so that it is always your starting point! Anyway... spread the word! Peace out :~) By Dom Palfreman Thanks to everyone who came and joined in our Arts Taster Day in Crediton today.
So many lovely moments - beautiful singing, amazing dancing, fantastic drumming, awesome art work... a fabulous day! Lovely to re-meet old friends and to make some new ones too. Don't forget - from next week we're at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre: Come to our dance session 12.15pm - 2.15pm, or our Music and Arts session 3pm - 6pm... Or why not make a day of it and come to both! £5 for each session. We look forward to seeing you there :0) Jane and The Turning Tides Team First taster Day today in Okehampton! This was our first chance to show Okehampton what we are doing - Story Telling, Dance, Making Fish, Music and getting together. We had a big gang and we had a great time with loads of new people and a lovely day together - with loads of laughter but that's enough about us.
During the day we asked everyone how they felt about what was going on and we had some great feedback: "I loved doing the music" "The music was good and I liked making the fish" "A very good ,fun day - I'll come again next week" "Good to see so many friends" "Loved the music and I really enjoyed being in a big group of people" "I enjoyed the opportunity to be creative" "I liked dressing up and seeing old friends" "I enjoyed everything - so happy I came. I enjoyed the day" Thanks to everyone that made this a day full of smiles: we can't wait to see you all again! By Jane Williams and Dominic Palfreman. |
