Long time no speak! We've all been terribly busy here at The Turning Tides Project... So busy in fact that no blogs have been written and I need to update the website and events and everything... but, hey, one thing at a time...
One thing that some of you may have noticed (if you do your shopping at Waitrose in Okehampton) is that The Turning Tides Project is part of their Community Matters box! How cool is that! There is of course two other local causes that are there too (I'm really sorry but I don't know what they are and should really find out). If you've not heard of the Community Matters box before, the Waitrose website describes it as, 'At the end of your shop in branch, you’ll receive a token to place in a box of the good cause you’d most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive. Each month every Waitrose branch donates £1,000 (£500 in Convenience shops) between 3 local good causes that you choose'. So, if you get a chance change your entire shopping routine and go to Waitrose. I hear they do more than just the Community Matter box... apparently they sell food too! Oh and because I'm feeling super helpful, click here for their opening times Written by Dom Palfreman |
