On Saturday 11th April there was an exciting trip to be had by all. We travelled all the way to Falmouth in Cornwall and met up with many different groups of people. We had a song writing and music workshop.
We met with a local singer song writer calledPolly Money who performed two of her own original songs. Her voice was fantastic! we spent the morning playing instruments and having fun. After lunch we shared musical ideas, then we split off into groups. Some wrote the words to the song and others created the musical accompaniment. Then we came together and shared our creative ideas to create our own song. We then rehearsed together before we performed our song 'Mr Nobody'. After a busy day we headed into town to buy fish and chips. The best thing of all was when Polly told her sister that she wouldn't be able to make it to her barbecue because she was going to join us on the beach for fish and chips. As the evening drew to a close we all sang sea shanties on the pier. Amazing day!! Polly was lovely. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Written by Jennifer Baines, Published by Dominic Palfreman |
