On Sunday a group of us went on a trip to the Eden Project, it was a long journey and when we got there we found out we could get a pass for us and a carer for £12.50, this pass entitles us to free entry for a whole year; awesome!
We had a coffee and then made our way to the biomes for our lunch, after lunch we went into the rainforest biome. It was amazing, and so warm and many exotic and interesting plants - we also got to see some traditional rainforest shelters which was amazing. We then went in the Mediterranean biome where there were many different and interesting plants to see and the climate was very different. After we had looked round the second biome, Jake took me up to the sky wire building as I was about to go on the longest zip wire in the UK - it is over 600 meters long!! After I had read and signed a document they kitted me up in the safety harness, then I had to climb into the minibus with the zip-wire-instructor to go up to the starting point. Once there, more safety gear was put on and they put a wind-breaker on so as not jar my back on the landing, the instructor then supported me to get into the correct position and I was off! It was amazing to go over the biomes, it felt like I was flying! Then we met up with the others for a drink before heading home it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip had by all and we will definitely be going back again with our passes!
