TTTP's 'Developing Equal Access Music Leaders Pilot' is a Project within the Equal Access to Music Programme. This Pilot is supported by funding from Youth Music
The questions this pilot aims to address:
1. What are the essential KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes) of an 'Equal Access Music Leader' - what is demonstrated at recruitment, on completion of induction, and when doing the job well?
2. Is it possible to define minimum requirements that can be measured to support recruitment, evidence successful completion of induction, and competence in role?
3. If a good Equal Access Leader has musical skills, group facilitation skills and an ability to use themselves reflectively in their work... how much of each is essential - if a person has great facilitation skills can they be an Equal Access to Music Leader with minimal music skills, or not?) What is the essential minimum of each skill set? Is there a 'critical mass' across all 3?

4. How can defining KSA support the development of people working towards an Equal Access to Music Leader role?
5. How can existing TTTP, and other national organisations, tools, resources and processes be most effectively used to support the development of people working towards an Equal Access to Music Leader role?
6. What are the gaps in tools, resources and processes available , and how could they become filled?
7. What are the available qualifications and qualification routes? Are they accessible? What are the gap in qualification routes and how could they be filled?

Why are we doing this Pilot?
To become more objective about recruiting the very best people to become part of the change TTTP would like to see in the world, and supporting them well so that they can make that difference by taking a Social Model approach
