The Turning Tides Project aims to make equal access to music, the arts and life a reality for people with ‘learning disability’ or ‘ autism’ labels . We are a Community Interest Company and are often asked by funders and supporters is that we provide evidence of our ‘Social Impact’.
Our evidence includes :
· Numbers and statistics (for example the number web site visitors or people directly involved in a specific project)
· What People Say (Quotes, stories, ideas, feedback and comments)
We aim to make sure that what we do makes a difference to:
· Individuals with and without ‘learning disability’ or ‘autism’ labels
· Our Community
· The Wider Community
· The ongoing development of The Company (The Turning Tides Project)
When we talk about impact on Individuals, we mean everyone who is part of The Turning Tides Project.
Our ‘Community of Interest’ is the term funders and supporters sometimes use when they mean ‘the population of people with learning disability or autism labels‘. We record this evidence in terms of the difference we make in Our Community and The Wider Community.
Our community describes the geographical area in which we work directly. This is currently a 30 mile radius of Crediton .
When we talk about The Wider Community we include the difference made by our:
· Social media platforms
· Work on projects with a national impact
· Services and products , all of which are available nationally
· Performances, gigs and conference appearances
